Missions and Outreach
Jesus said in Matthew 28:16-20:Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Jesus has called all Christians to take part in this greatest mission on Earth. One of the ways we do that is to send evangelists all over the world preaching the Good News of the Gospel. We support them by prayer, fellowship, and financially. These are the missionaries to whom we give monthly support. We encourage you to go to their websites, check them out, and then join us in supporting them.
Christian City (www.christiancity.org)Christian City ministers to families, but focuses primarily on the needs of abused and abandoned children, the aged and infirm. Services provided include residential, health and social services delivered in a manner consistent with the Christian faith.
The Christian City campus is a vibrant and active retirement community as well as refuge for children without families of their own. Every effort is made to see that both children and the aged have enriched and rewarding lives.
While expressly Christian in orientation, Christian City does not discriminate in any way with regard to who can benefit from services and ministries provided. We minister to the physical as well as the spiritual needs of people as an expression of the Love of God to them. Our motto is “Loving People…Loving People.” It is our hope that hurting people will experience the love of God through us and be drawn closer to Him. It is also our hope that everyone served by Christian City enjoys an enriched and fulfilling life.

Put a little JOY in your heart! The ladies group of Austell Christian Church named their "working" group JOY. Jesus, Others, and Yourself. They try to live up to this title each and every day. Prayer, flowers, gift baskets, phone calls, cards, showers; you name it, we have done it. If you think of something we have missed, we invite you to join this group and add your ideas.
All Ladies of Austell Christian Church are invited to come and meet with the JOY Circle, which meets the second Saturday of every other month. Each meeting is opened with a devotion and prayer time. We discuss events which are up coming and sometimes plan special outings just for the ladies. We have a wonderful time of Christian fellowship and hope to see you at the next meeting.
